STAMMA Striders: Rudyard Lake

Join the STAMMA Striders group for a 5 mile walk near Stoke on Trent.

STAMMA Striders is a group for people who stammer who love walking, rambling and hiking. Co-organiser Dean says, "After a long break we are kicking the walks off again with a nice gentle one. We are doing a 5 mile relatively flat walk around Rudyard reservoir. One side of the lake is wooded and undulating, whilst the return leg is flat and shaded alongside the miniature steam railway. Weather dependant, we plan to stop for a picnic at the halfway point by the lake, so bring your sandwiches. For those who are interested, we may go somewhere afterwards and find a nice beer garden or stay at the lake and have an ice cream or two".

When & where?

The walk will be on Sunday 18th September and will meet at 11am in the Rudyard Lake Railway car park (possibly a small charge) just south of the lake itself. The nearest postcode is ST13 8PG (grid ref: SJ955579; what3words: crockery.thuds.presses).
