New content for World Mental Health Day
To mark World Mental Health Day today, we've added new content to help people who stammer get support.
Stammering, and peoples' reactions to it, can affect how we think and feel about ourselves. It can also be isolating, with many feeling unable to talk about it with others.
Dr Heidi King, long-term STAMMA member and Clinical Psychologist, has written a piece on psychological therapies which is so good that we've added it to our Get Help section. The page 'Stammering & Mental Health' recognises the feelings and effects that people who stammer might experience, and lists the different support options available.
